We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Lifeguard and Swim Instructor to join our team at Accora Village. As a key member of our Recreation and Aquatics team, you will be responsible for planning and leading swim lessons, maintaining pool safety, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities- Plan and instruct swim lessons for participants of all ages and skill levels.
- Maintain a safe and clean pool environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to participant questions and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the pool, public change rooms, staff change rooms, First Aid station, and Lifeguard office.
- Ensure all program equipment and facilities are safe for use, reporting known and potential hazards to management for immediate action.
- Enforce safety rules and initiate emergency response procedures, including First Aid and incident reporting as required.
- Ability to plan and instruct swim lessons.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
- Enthusiasm and passion for working with children.
- Flexible and highly organized with superior customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Current First Aid, CPR, and National Lifeguard – Pool certifications.
- Ability to work weekend and evening schedules.
- Must be willing and able to provide a valid and current Criminal Background Check for working with the Vulnerable Sector.
