Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Freshly Squeezed. As a key member of our dining room staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
    • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
    • Keep accurate records of the quantities of food used to optimize inventory management and minimize waste.
  • Customer Service
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables with a smile and a positive attitude, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
    • Take customers' orders accurately and efficiently, using our menu and ordering systems.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety.
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring that all products are properly labeled and stored.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • General Duties
    • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit to prepare for service.
    Requirements
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
    • Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
    Working Conditions
    • 35 hours per week.
    • Permanent position.
    • Work Language: English.
