Job Title: Building Caretaker

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Caretaker to join our team at JnB Homecare Services Ltd. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our health care institution, facility, or clinic.

Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs; operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse; empty trash cans and other waste containers; wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems; contact tradespersons for major repairs; perform minor repairs on appliances.
  • Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks; move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies; clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
  • Green Economy Sector: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English or French.
  • Work Conditions: All weather conditions.
