Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Camp Manager to lead our Childcare and Before & After School Program at St. This is a unique opportunity to join our team at Sentient HR Services and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Childcare and Before & After School Program team, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
  • Develop and implement program plans that meet the needs of individual children and the group, in collaboration with RECEs and other staff members.
  • Manage the child enrollment process, including meeting with prospective parents, managing wait lists, and communicating with parents regarding enrollment procedures.
  • Oversee staff supervision, training, and coaching, ensuring that all staff members are equipped to provide high-quality care and education to children.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, including maintaining accurate records, adhering to health and safety protocols, and meeting nutritional requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director to manage the site's budget, monitor expenses, and make purchasing decisions.
  • Support the Centre's Communication Strategy by drafting and approving communication for social media and email.
Requirements
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity within a Childcare environment and Before and After School Program.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience as a Registered Early Childhood Educator, working in an integrated setting with children of different abilities and ages (Infant to School-Age).
  • Experience working with technology, specifically with the MS Office Suite of products and database systems.
  • Working knowledge of the Child Care & Early Years Act (CCEYA).
  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Screening Police Check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions regarding crises and difficult situations based on knowledge of the CCEYA, public health, and the policies and procedures of the childcare centre.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work varied shifts and participate in parent engagement events and the Annual General Meeting (AGM) during evening hours.
