Electrical Engineering Lead

Our team of top-notch experts has extensive experience in conventional Oil and Gas projects, heavy oil (SAGD, CSS) processing, and enhanced oil recovery projects. Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will lead an integrated team of electrical engineers, designers, and drafters on small to medium-sized projects for various clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Assigning resources to prepare deliverables, including single line drawings, area classifications drawings, cable tray layouts, panel layouts, cable/panel schedules, JB wiring diagrams, EHT isometrics, and electrical load lists specifications/datasheets for electrical equipment.
- Tracking the progress of engineering deliverables and communicating regularly with the Program Engineering Manager.
- Coordinating and estimating man-hours for new projects.
- Ensuring the quality of all deliverables produced by the electrical team.
- Managing the electrical team's workload and resources.
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 20 years of experience in facilities engineering and design in the Oil and Gas industry, with a preference for experience in thermal heavy oil.
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and registration as a professional engineer in Alberta.
- Proven experience leading a team of at least 6 engineers/designers.
- Experience in leading and developing a team is essential.
- Strategic managerial skills and experience are a must.
- Experience with thermal heavy oil production projects is an asset.
