Data Insights Specialist

At Paladin Security, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data analytics department, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining effective reports in Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools. Your primary goal will be to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions.

This role involves assisting with the maintenance and enhancement of data warehouse objects in Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business problems and reporting deliverables. Your sharp analytical mind, problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities will enable you to provide meaningful insights that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain reports in Power BI, Power BI Report Builder, and other platforms to provide data-driven insights.
  2. Conduct research and collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify business problems and reporting requirements.
  3. Design and implement effective solutions to improve data collection and report generation processes.
  4. Create presentations showcasing reporting insights and actionable strategies to drive business decisions.
  5. Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient data processing and integration.
  6. Assist with data warehouse development in SQL/Microsoft Azure to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
  7. Monitor report performance and implement improvements as required to ensure data integrity.
  8. Perform other duties as required to meet organizational requirements.

Requirements:

  1. Proficiency in SQL, Power BI (DAX, Power Query, and Report Builder), and Excel.
  2. Experience with data warehousing, creating/using data models, and managing databases.
  3. Highly analytical mindset with the ability to prepare reports including descriptive statistics.
  4. Effective communication skills to convey technical requirements and reporting insights.
  5. Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and tools, with hands-on experience in building pipelines.
  6. Proficiency or practical experience with big data solutions for data processing and analysis.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to offer innovative solutions.
  8. Excellent prioritization and time management skills; exceptional attention to detail.
  9. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with limited direction.
