Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Procurement Specialist to become a vital part of our corporate team. This role is essential in driving innovative processes and technologies within the automotive sector.

Our organization has experienced significant growth, achieving a remarkable increase in business volume, establishing ourselves as a prominent Tier II supplier in the automotive stamping and assembly industry.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the commercial aspects of supply chain management, including the identification and validation of suppliers in line with our Supplier Quality Manual.
  • Developing, maintaining, and executing procurement strategies for assigned commodities across our facilities.
  • Leading sourcing initiatives for raw materials and components from a global supply base, encompassing RFQ release, analysis, business award, and project kick-off.
  • Implementing procurement strategies that align with our overall business objectives.
  • Engaging with new vendors to facilitate the procurement of innovative materials and assemblies.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives within diverse project scopes, either independently or as part of a larger team.
  • Managing tactical procurement activities to support production needs.
  • Conducting Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) assessments.
  • Collaborating with Production & Inventory Control teams as necessary.

Qualifications
We prefer candidates with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; or a minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive management, specifically in Purchasing, Materials Management, or Production Operations.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in automotive purchasing is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience managing multiple sites in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with purchasing steel coil, tube, wire, and cold heading parts is beneficial.

Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of manufacturing, assembly, and welding equipment, including design and automation processes related to automotive stamping.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of product terminology, quality management systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong teamwork abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.

Language Proficiency
Fluency in English or Spanish is required, with the ability to effectively communicate with management and cross-functional teams.

Technical Proficiency
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications is essential, along with experience in ERP/MRP systems.

Work Environment
