We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Care Worker to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Provide one-to-one support and observation of patients as directed by the RN/RPN
- Facilitate patients' participation in psychosocial rehabilitation activities, including setting schedules and participating in unit scheduled individual and group activities
- Transport patients to off-site appointments and maintain a safe environment
- Report observations of patients' conditions to the Nursing staff and care team
- Grade ten plus graduation from a recognized Mental Health Care Worker program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with access to personal vehicle for business purposes
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
