About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager, Investments to join our team at Coast Capital. As a key member of our Wealth Management division, you will be responsible for supporting the development and management of our investment product lines, including Coast Capital Mutual Funds, Sustainable Funds, ETFs, Fee-based Accounts, and SMAs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the planning and execution of key initiatives around the investment product shelf to optimize the success of the product line.
  • Act as a key resource for distribution and as a liaison and first point of contact for Coast's strategic third-party partners.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to support product positioning, campaigns, and the development of content and materials.
  • Play an active role in strengthening our operational foundations by helping to set up a newly formed investment committee, driving the evolution and expansion of Coast's MFDA/IIROC service models, and working toward continuously improving our infrastructure and processes.
  • Actively identify new product opportunities and support product development and cross-functional launch efforts for new initiatives in the portfolio.
  • Understand, manage, and monitor the organization's portfolio of investment products and track/analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve objectives, key results, and the broader Coast 2025 corporate strategy.
  • Develop and deliver key reporting elements and ensure Coast leadership is kept well-informed on the performance of the business line.
  • Continuously evolve the product shelf by building relationships with Coast advisors and collaborating with the Enterprise Research team to develop a strong feedback channel to understand how the product shelf could better meet observed member needs.
  • Provide oversight and management of investment programs for strategic partners.
  • Execute risk management and compliance monitoring activities as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, commerce, or economics, an MBA or other post-graduate Degree, or equivalent industry-related experience preferred.
  • CFA/CIM/CFP an asset.
  • 5+ years of gaining a comprehensive understanding of the current wealth management and asset management ecosystem and applicable regulations.
  • 5+ years gaining strong business acumen with a depth of knowledge of the financial metrics that drive performance.
  • Strong abilities in financial and market analysis and insights.
  • Strong Project Management skill.
  • Strong communicator able to thoughtfully construct a diverse set of content/material.
  • Strong collaborator who is comfortable presenting ideas and voicing concerns.
  • Drives innovation and positive change; never satisfied with the status quo.
  • Organizes efforts around what is best for the member/advisor by acting empathetically and keeping communication lines open.
  • Proactively drives initiatives forward to completion.
  • Takes pride in their work and exhibits an ownership mentality.
  • Identify trends and monitor the competitive landscape to determine impacts on the organization's product roadmap and uncover opportunities for innovation, growth, and risk mitigation.
  • Maintains market intelligence and develops strategies to take advantage of emerging trends and keep the product shelf current.
  • Exhibits curiosity and a desire for continuous learning.
  • Able to partner and grow relationships across the organization, including the executive team's internal and external stakeholders, across marketing, IT, finance, and channels.
  • Positively represents Coast when engaging with strategic partners and other third parties.
  • Drive or support various projects across the portfolio, working with EPMO and working groups.
