We are currently in search of a Wealth Planning Assistant to join our Central City Advice Centre. In this role, you will provide essential support to our Investment Advisors (IAs) and wealth clients, primarily assisting with daily administrative tasks and enhancing sales and service activities in an efficient manner. The Wealth Planning Assistant plays a crucial role in executing sales and identifying opportunities to connect wealth clients with other service lines within Prospera.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address and fulfill customer requests and inquiries, especially those of an administrative nature (such as EFT requests, account inquiries, and meeting arrangements).
  • Prepare for client meetings by organizing relevant statements, paperwork, onboarding documents, and reminders for customers.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of and adherence to CSI policies and procedures, including daily reviews of client accounts and processing trades as directed by the Investment Advisor.
  • Utilize Client Relationship Management tools and reports effectively.
  • Assist in customer segmentation and service matrix implementation.
  • Possess knowledge of insurance products and service administration, including segregated fund management.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to minimize risks to the Credit Union and its members.
  • Actively participate in Branch Sales and Service meetings.
  • Provide support to team members, management, retail staff, and partners.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial services, ideally with a focus on wealth management, demonstrating a solid understanding of financial products and services.
  • Preferred: Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH), along with IIROC registration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of customers and Investment Advisors, providing exceptional service.
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking, resourcefulness, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness and capability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of industry products and services.
