Powell Industries is seeking a highly skilled Process Improvement Specialist to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements that drive efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support production activities, including training new associates and implementing process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address production bottlenecks
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance associate productivity and quality
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in MS Windows software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings
Working Conditions:

This is a safety-sensitive position that requires working in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment with occasional outside activities. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment at all times and work from various types of ladders and scaffolding.

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling
  • Bending, standing, and walking for long periods
  • Ability to climb stairs frequently
