Position Overview
The Assistant Technical Director will play a crucial role in supporting the Technical Director by assisting with all technical and production aspects for various performances and events. This position is designed to provide comprehensive technical support, ensuring that all productions run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
The primary duties of the Assistant Technical Director include, but are not limited to:
Event Support:
Gathering technical specifications for all events and activities Developing cost estimates and timelines as necessary Securing equipment and materials as needed Coordinating and overseeing technical teams for event setups Offering on-site assistance to event managers, including transportation support Providing general production help for events and live broadcastsPerformance Support:
Assisting in the documentation and organization of production data Aiding in research and acquisition of technical details for upcoming productions Supporting the Technical Director in daily production operationsRequired Qualifications
Post-secondary education in a technical or production-related field Experience in both unionized and office settings is advantageous Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Vectorworks is a plus Strong organizational and communication abilities Understanding of health and safety regulations in the arts sector Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary Valid Class G Driver's LicenseWorking Environment
Primarily based in an office setting Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds Physical agility to move quickly and perform tasks effectively Required to operate a vehicle for event-related activities-
