Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator On-Call to join our Children's Centre. This role is essential in fostering a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for young learners. The educator will collaborate with fellow professionals and the Centre for Childhood Studies to ensure a rich early learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of programs and operations of the Child Care Facility, adhering to the child care legislation and regulations of British Columbia.
  • Provide guidance and support in the learning environment, ensuring both physical and emotional care for children.
  • Maintain the health and safety of children in compliance with current regulations and internal policies.
  • Encourage a play-based, family-centered early care and learning program, allowing children to explore and engage with their surroundings.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an Early Childhood Education diploma program, including relevant certifications.
  • Strong understanding of the BC Early Learning Framework and its practical application.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a child care setting within the last two years.
  • Possession of a valid safety-oriented first-aid certificate.
