About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Services Specialist to join our team at CIBC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for building and growing your client base by providing exceptional customer service, financial planning, and investment advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Acquisition and Retention
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to acquire new clients and retain existing ones.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their financial goals and objectives.
    • Provide personalized financial planning and investment advice to clients to help them achieve their goals.
  • Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the client base and increase revenue.
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the local market and client needs to create effective sales strategies.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to leverage CIBC's products and services to meet client needs.
  • Community Engagement
    • Represent CIBC in the community through participation in local events and activities.
    • Build relationships with community leaders and organizations to promote CIBC's brand and services.
    • Identify opportunities to engage with the community and develop initiatives to support local causes.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualifications
    • Hold a professional designation in financial services (e.g. CFP, CFA, etc.).
    • Have a strong understanding of financial products and services.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on client relationship management and sales.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
