Position Overview:

Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. is seeking skilled underground miners to become part of our Paste Crew at the Hemlo Operations in Marathon, ON.


• Work schedule involves a rotation of 14 days on / 14 days off (including both day and night shifts).

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the successful candidates will prioritize their safety and that of their colleagues while overseeing the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of paste operations underground.

Specifically, our Paste Crew members will be responsible for:

• Adhering to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance among team members;


• Installing paste, water, air, and pump pipelines;

• Setting up paste bulkheads, pumps, and reticulation systems;

• Monitoring dump valves;

• Inspecting the pipeline network for leaks and damage;

• Assisting the Service crew with the installation of ventilation ducts;

• Operating various service and auxiliary equipment underground;

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong commitment to safety and the well-being of others;


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Paste or Service Crews within the underground mining sector;

• Possession of Ontario Hard Rock Mining Common Core certification;

• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems effectively;

• Adaptability in a fast-paced work environment;

• Willingness to support fellow crew members while also being capable of working independently;

• Experience in a cross-cultural work environment;
