Job Summary

Shikder Design & Drafting Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Drafting Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for creating detailed engineering designs and drawings, supervising drafting personnel, and training new staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and detailed engineering designs and drawings using CAD software.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Supervise and mentor junior drafting personnel to ensure high-quality work and efficient workflow.
  • Develop and prepare design sketches, construction specifications, and cost estimates for projects.
  • Prepare contracts, tenders, and technical reports for clients and stakeholders.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects, and complete documentation packages and drawing sets.
  • Examine drawings for errors and inconsistencies, and consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements.
Requirements
  • AutoCAD Certification
  • Experience in construction, buildings, and structural engineering
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
