Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Supervisor to join our team at CP. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of our intermodal fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance and inspections for the intermodal chassis fleet, ensuring compliance with manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the scheduling and execution of maintenance, repairs, and retirement of the container fleet, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards.
- Ensure that maintenance and repairs are performed in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, AAR Rules & Regulations, Federal & Provincial Laws of Canada.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve maintenance efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize equipment damage.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Managers, Asset Management, and Supply Services to develop asset strategies and RFP proposals.
- Process maintenance-related invoices and audit as required.
Requirements
- Post-Secondary Certificate or Degree related to Mechanical Maintenance is desirable.
- Strong Mechanical background and experience in maintenance of equipment.
- Journey Man Certification in Maintenance of Road or Off-road equipment is desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance management or supervision.
- Understanding of Intermodal Operations or trucking logistics is desirable.
- Computer skills – Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Access, SAP, Oasis, TMS, Power Point.
- Familiar with Commercial Vehicle inspection regulations.
- Understanding of Standard maintenance procedures of Heavy Equipment is desirable.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with contractor supervisors, personnel, and all CP employees.
