Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT Consultant to provide expert guidance and innovative solutions in the realm of information technology. This is a permanent position that requires a commitment of 30 to 35 hours per week.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in IT consulting or related roles
Work Environment
  • Relocation costs are not covered by the employer
  • Willingness to relocate is necessary
  • Work is conducted in a consulting firm setting
  • Engagement with private companies and corporations
Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients to ascertain their IT requirements
  • Design, develop, and implement tailored information systems solutions
  • Advise on IT strategy, policy, management, and service delivery
  • Evaluate security risks associated with data, software, and hardware
  • Create policies and contingency plans to mitigate security breaches
  • Oversee the software development life cycle and implement necessary procedures
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of software products and information systems
  • Manage conflict resolution effectively
  • Utilize tools such as JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) and robotic process automation
  • Perform usability testing and operate testing equipment to ensure product quality
  • Provide ongoing support to clients post-sale
  • Document results of software application tests and telecommunications systems tests
Certifications and Skills
  • ITIL Certification
  • Information Systems Professional (ISP) designation
Technical Proficiencies
  • Expertise in business intelligence and networking software/hardware
  • Proficient in security software and SQL
  • Experience with Veritas Netbackup and MS SQL Server
