Job Summary:

Nexus Systems Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join our team. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cloud-based applications using in-demand languages and technologies such as React Js and Node Js.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop cloud-based applications using React Js and Node Js.
  2. Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment.
  3. Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale.
  4. Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
  5. Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features.
  6. Maintain code integrity and organization.
  7. Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.
  8. Responsible for developing the front end of the application in React and the back-end API in Node.JS.

Requirements:

  1. 8+ years of experience as a Developer.
  2. 5+ years of experience with and (for back-end REST API development).
  3. 5+ years of hands-on experience with web application development.
  4. 3+ years of experience with Object Oriented and Functional Design – demonstrated in recent project work.
  5. 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern JS toolsets (ES6, Typescript, Babel, Lerna, Jest, Protractor – should have 3-5 of these, please list which).

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with HTML / CSS / SASS (BEM, OOCSS, SMACSS, CSS3 Transitions / Animations, Semantic HTML) – demonstrated in recent project work.
  2. Financial/banking industry experience.
  3. Experience working in an Agile environment.
  4. Tech Lead background an asset.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field.

Selection Process:

  1. 1-2 Step Process – 1 hour each – MS Teams Video Interview – Camera ON.
  2. 1st with Technical Team – technical questions, coding questions during interview (react and node based).
  3. Potential 2nd with Hiring Manager – culture fit.
