Job Title: Junior Technologist

Hatch is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Technologist to join our Technologies – Specialized Engineering Group in Mississauga, ON, Canada.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Junior Technologist to participate in the design aspects of custom equipment and new product development. As a Junior Technologist, you will work under the guidance of experienced engineers and designers to develop mechanical designs, create high-quality drawings, and coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical assemblies and detail drawings using Solid Modelling tools such as Solid Edge and MicroStation.
  • Coordinate designs with a multi-disciplinary team, including structural, mechanical, electrical, process, and instrumentation and controls.
  • Participate in design reviews and quality checking workflows.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of various types of mechanical equipment and technologies.
  • Assist in developing prototypes and reviewing fabrication and construction drawings.
Qualifications:
  • Graduated from a 3-year college program in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have an aptitude for working on multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Enjoy taking on new challenges with a commitment to achieving engineering excellence.
