Job Title: Lead Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Technologist to join our Municipal and Transportation Design team at CIMA+. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading projects and collaborating with clients to deliver innovative solutions for municipal clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design process for various municipal engineering and transportation projects, including roadways, road reconstruction, urbanization, and linear infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technologists in a dynamic work environment to ensure successful project delivery and efficiency.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary design teams to meet client expectations and design quality standards.
  • Implement design and drafting requirements with staff from other departments or offices, as required, when working on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Participate in project resource coordination, schedule management, budgeting, quality management, and project risk assessment on behalf of CIMA+.
  • Prepare contract quantities and cost estimates.
  • Mentor junior staff on fundamentals of detail design of Civil infrastructure work and general project coordination skills.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through internal and external training.
Requirements:
  • Graduated from a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma Program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of design and/or inspection experience on various civil, transportation, and municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in project resource coordination, including monitoring project schedules, budgets, quality control, and project risk assessments.
  • Proficiency with design software packages such as MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Independent, organized, and motivated team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and deliver projects under compressed schedules in a fast-paced environment.
