Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Fund Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our fund accounting team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of fund accountants, mentoring and supporting them through training and development. You will also provide a full range of fund accounting services to private equity clients, including NAV review and preparation, reviewing accruals, security pricing, and cash and security position reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership
  • Supervise a team of fund accountants and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of fund accounting services.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Fund Accounting Services
  • Provide a full range of fund accounting services to private equity clients, including NAV review and preparation.
  • Review and prepare accruals, security pricing, and cash and security position reconciliations.
  • Review and prepare pricing of portfolios, ensuring all holdings are priced in accordance with applicable fund documents and valuation policies.
  • Review and prepare capital call and distribution calculation and allocation.
  • Review and prepare fee schedules, including calculation of management fee and waterfall, ensuring all calculations observe applicable fund documents.
  • Review and prepare investor allocations for each NAV cycle, ensuring capital transactions are booked correctly and P&L is allocated correctly.
  • Review and prepare NAV packages and other ad hoc deliverables as defined in the service level agreements.
Communication and Collaboration
  • Communicate effectively with internal MUFG teams and external clients to ensure all deliverables and requests are met.
Regulatory and Compliance
  • Review client Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs), PPMs, and other materials to ensure service levels are in line with such legal documents.
  • Assist with the preparation of audited Financial Statements and other regulatory services as applicable.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree or professional designation such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, etc.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a fund administration role, with at least 2 years working in a private equity role.
  • Experience working on a private equity accounting system, preferably Investran.
  • Strong knowledge of private equity structures, regulatory requirements, and waterfall calculations.
  • Experience reviewing Limited Partnership Agreements and OM's.
  • Experience in supervisory skills and/or coaching/mentoring.
