Nursing Care Support Worker Job Description

GEM Health Care Group is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Care Support Worker to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to patients in a nursing home setting, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding patients, as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Respond to call signals and determine patients' needs, providing assistance and support as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure patients receive high-quality care and support.
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: An asset.
  • Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged.
  • Security and safety: Criminal record check, immunization records, tuberculosis test.
  • Transportation/travel information: Travel expenses not paid by employer.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, physically demanding.
  • Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Personal suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, interpersonal awareness, organized, reliability, team player.
