Job Title: Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at GEM Health Care Group. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a nursing home setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Prepare and serve meal trays, and assist with feeding residents as needed.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position residents with care and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including making beds and cleaning patients' rooms.
  • Respond to call signals and determine residents' needs, providing assistance and support as required.
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Criminal record check, immunization records, and tuberculosis test required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with attention to detail.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Weight handling: more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
