About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team at Kainaan Drywall Ltd. as a Bricklayer and Masonry Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to construct residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate materials, tools, and equipment required for projects, ensuring accurate calculations and efficient use of resources.
  • Masonry Work: Prepare and lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to provide veneer facing, construct and install prefabricated masonry units, and read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required.
  • Tool Operation: Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
  • Construction: Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces, and lay radial bricks to build masonry shells of industrial chimneys.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Setting: The role will involve working in various construction settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential sites.
  • Physical Demands: The position requires physical stamina, as you will be standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in masonry work is preferred.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required for effective communication with colleagues and clients.
