About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Worker to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a Laundry Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of our hospital laundry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals to ensure optimal cleaning results.
  • Hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles with attention to detail and precision.
  • Assemble and bag finished articles, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Operate dryers and washing machines to ensure efficient and effective laundry processing.
Work Environment

As a Laundry Worker, you will work in a fast-paced hospital laundry environment, which can be noisy and physically demanding. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for extended periods and lifting heavy loads.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and management.
