Extendicare Canada Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing operations within our facility.
Job Type:
Part-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care in alignment with established administrative policies and regulatory requirements.
- Promote resident satisfaction and engage in continuous quality enhancement initiatives.
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and termination processes of nursing staff in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.
- Oversee, guide, and manage nursing personnel, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Participate in the admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents within assigned units.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or long-term care.
- Must hold a current Registered Nurse license from the relevant provincial licensing authority.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with extensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices related to long-term care.
- A diploma in Gerontology, Nursing Unit Administration, or Management courses is considered an asset.
- Possess qualities such as maturity, good physical and mental health, empathy, patience, and tact.
- Proficiency in a second language is advantageous.
