Position Overview:

About TC Energy:
TC Energy is a prominent energy infrastructure company in North America, specializing in natural gas pipelines, liquids (oil) pipelines, and power generation. Our Engineering and Geoscience Practice (POEG) is essential in maintaining our competitive edge through superior technical practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership in implementing best-in-class technical practices.
  • Collaborate with Safety & Technical Services (STS) and various business units to ensure sound technical practices and resolve challenges.
  • Develop and maintain standards, processes, and procedures that promote compliance and quality in technical practices.
  • Support the assurance of POEG requirements and assist teams in their implementation.
  • Facilitate collaboration and resolution of technical and ethical practice issues across the organization.
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to professional practice requirements.
  • Evaluate changes in legal requirements affecting POEG and lead initiatives to ensure compliance.
  • Assess technical practice hazards and risks, contributing to risk management strategies.
  • Engage with stakeholders to share insights and enhance awareness of POEG requirements.
  • Provide guidance on the development of Technical Career Progression Framework and related competencies.

Qualifications:
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Engineering or Geoscience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in engineering or geoscience.
  • Proven ability to interpret regulations, technical standards, and code requirements.
  • Experience in technical review, compliance verification, and assurance.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
  • Experience applying technical codes and standards.
  • Possession of a license with a governing body.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • Valid driver's license and provision of a driver's abstract for review.

This position is eligible for our domestic relocation program.
