About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Refinery Operations IT Manager to lead our team of IT professionals in providing top-notch support and maintenance for our refinery operations software applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of IT professionals in providing support and maintenance for refinery operations software applications.
- Oversee the monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of refinery-specific software applications to ensure maximum availability and performance.
- Collaborate with refinery operations, engineering teams, and IT vendors to understand application requirements and ensure they are met.
- Manage refinery application-related projects, including upgrades, patch management, and system integrations.
- Identify opportunities for process and application improvements and implement solutions to enhance application performance and reliability.
- Ensure all application processes and access management are well defined and meet risk and compliance requirements.
- Oversee the budget and license fee management for applications used across the refinery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT or application support, with at least 3 years in a manager role.
- Strong understanding of refinery processes and the software applications that support them.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a technical team, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
