Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Flexographic Press Operator to join our team at Independent Paper Converters. This role involves operating and maintaining flexographic printing presses, ensuring high-quality production standards.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Previous experience is an asset or equivalent experience
Work Environment

The work environment can be noisy, requiring the ability to focus amidst sound.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mount plates or cylinders and perform necessary adjustments
  • Fill ink fountains while controlling color and viscosity
  • Set up the press and operate at a slow speed to verify sample quality
  • Monitor ongoing press runs for quality using a computer control console
  • Remove and clean plates and cylinders after each press run
Type of Equipment
  • Flexographic press
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Hand-eye coordination and the ability to distinguish between colors
  • Capability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
