About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at Penhold Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prescription Processing
    • Verify and process prescriptions accurately and efficiently
    • Ensure all necessary information is complete and up-to-date
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and customers
    • Answer questions and address concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels of medications and supplies
    • Order and receive new stock as needed
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Perform various administrative tasks, such as data entry and record-keeping
    • Assist with billing and insurance claims
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a pharmacy or related field
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
Work Environment

As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant at Penhold Pharmacy, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel as needed. You will also be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
