Daily Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks as directed by the Sous Chef, Chef, and/or General Manager
- Prepare food in accordance with established standards
- Adhere to recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines
- Maintain an organized prep list for station duties
- Implement the FIFO method to ensure ingredient freshness
- Assist with inventory management and control
- Support the proper receiving and storage of deliveries
- Keep food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils clean, following sanitation and food safety protocols
- Comply with WHMIS and MSDS regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- 1-2 years of culinary experience in an upscale dining environment
- Culinary diploma or degree is preferred
- Basic knowledge of professional cooking techniques and knife skills
- Ability to follow directions and maintain composure under pressure
- Willingness to stand for extended periods
