Position Overview

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks as directed by the Sous Chef, Chef, and/or General Manager
  • Prepare food in accordance with established standards
  • Adhere to recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines
  • Maintain an organized prep list for station duties
  • Implement the FIFO method to ensure ingredient freshness
  • Assist with inventory management and control
  • Support the proper receiving and storage of deliveries
  • Keep food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils clean, following sanitation and food safety protocols
  • Comply with WHMIS and MSDS regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of culinary experience in an upscale dining environment
  • Culinary diploma or degree is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of professional cooking techniques and knife skills
  • Ability to follow directions and maintain composure under pressure
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods
