Job Summary

As a Financial Planning Analyst with the Royal Bank of Canada, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive financial planning solutions to clients. This involves acting as the primary financial planner in our centralized service, as well as partnering with Financial Planning Specialists in their respective regions. Your expertise will be essential in preparing and developing our proprietary "Compass" comprehensive financial plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive personal financial plans for clients, including determining their objectives, analyzing their current situations, and developing appropriate advice, strategies, and recommendations.
  • Stay current with financial planning standards and practices.
  • Identify opportunities for complementary businesses and solutions, and collaborate with colleagues to pursue these opportunities.
  • Maintain a high level of partnership and knowledge regarding all of RBC's units.
  • Contribute ideas and participate in development projects to enhance our services.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to other professionals in Wealth Management Services.
Requirements
  • Financial Planner diploma granted by the IQPF.
  • Superior communication skills in French and English, both written and verbal.
  • 5 years of experience in financial planning, with client-facing experience a strong asset.
  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of the Canadian taxation system.
  • Working knowledge of financial planning software (Conquest).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and ability to adapt to a fast-changing software.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly interact with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.
