We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a permanent (0.4 FTE, night) shift position. This role is based at our facilities and is essential to our commitment to high-quality care.

Position Overview:
The LPN will be responsible for developing nursing care plans tailored to individual client needs, adhering to established nursing practices and standards. This role operates under the guidance of the LPN Team Lead and the Director of Care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
  • Valid and active nursing license with the Licensing Body of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current certification in Healthcare Provider training.
  • Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Preferred experience of at least one year in a senior living environment.
  • Commitment to delivering person-centered care.
  • Ability to treat residents and families as collaborative partners in care planning.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing duties as outlined in the Client Service Care Plan.
  • Administering medications safely and in accordance with current standards.
  • Supervising Health Care Aide staff to ensure proper implementation of service plans.
  • Updating health care services for clients as needed.
  • Performing nursing procedures in line with CLPNA standards and company policies.
  • Teaching nursing tasks to staff according to accepted practices.
  • Facilitating effective communication within the team to ensure safe care delivery.
  • Engaging with families and healthcare professionals regarding resident needs and well-being.
  • Executing delegated nursing functions in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Providing patient care and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Administering medications accurately and monitoring patient responses.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and respect for patients and their families.
