Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Global Network Operations to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Global Technology Solutions (GTS) organization, you will be responsible for leading the Global Network and ABM Operations team to ensure the availability and reliability of our critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Global Network and ABM Operations team to ensure the execution of business strategies and plans.
  • Develop and implement operational and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to our customers.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, with budgets exceeding $1 million, to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Lead and manage a team of up to 50+ staff across multiple geographies to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Ensure the availability and reliability of our global network and ABM infrastructure, monitoring and managing 25,000+ devices globally.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business partners, customers, and vendors.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the team remains competitive and innovative.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive technical working experience in Information Technology, Network Operations, and/or Operations/Command Centre Management.
  • 10+ years of hands-on technical working experience in a high-volume, complex, demanding customer-oriented IT & Network environments.
  • 5+ years of senior-level management and leadership experience managing diverse teams in varying locations globally.
  • Proven track record with Executive Level strategic influencing skills, including the ability to frame technology opportunities in terms of business values.
  • Broad technology knowledge within the network infrastructure and systems technology spaces & leadership with existing & new technologies.
  • 10+ years of professional working experience in managing technical projects/programs.
  • Recognized as a change champion & cultural catalyst.
  • Adept at working under tight deadlines, conflicting priorities, and changing requirements.
  • Broad ITIL-based knowledge with a focus on Network/Process Automation, Incident/Problem Management, Leadership/Process Communication, and Change Management.
  • Completion of a post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or a related field of study.
