Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs. This includes assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in nursing care
Requirements:
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Recent medical/surgical experience in an acute care setting
  • Telemetry experience
  • Coronary Care I certification within 6 months of hire
  • Critical care experience an asset
  • Physical Assessment Course an asset
  • Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a rapidly changing environment
  • Organized and able to work in a team environment
  • Previous experience working with Meditech and McKesson Visibility an asset
  • Strong patient assessment skills
  • Caring, compassionate, customer-focused attitude towards patients and families
  • Able to physically meet the demands of the role
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record
