Component Shop Technician Job Description

Avmax Careers - Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Component Shop Technician to join our team. As a Component Shop Technician, you will be responsible for performing disassembly and cleaning of aircraft components according to customer specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufacturers' CMM guidelines, and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform disassembly and cleaning of aircraft components according to customer specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufacturers' CMM guidelines, and operating procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and comply with customer and Transport Canada regulations as applicable to the work assigned.
  • Ensure familiarity with all shop equipment operations and their maintenance, able to understand component maintenance manuals and all other applicable technical documents.

Requirements:

  • Communication - both verbal and written English language.
  • Must be able to write descriptive statements concerning the condition of the assemblies being worked on.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to use hand tools and mechanical experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for 8 to 10 hours.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in related field with strong mechanical and/or electrical background is preferred.
  • Aviation experience is considered an asset, but not required.
