Job Title: Component Shop TechnicianWe are seeking a highly skilled Component Shop Technician to join our team in Calgary, AB. As a Component Shop Technician, you will be responsible for performing disassembly and cleaning of aircraft components, maintaining current knowledge of customer and Transport Canada regulations, and ensuring familiarity with all shop equipment operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform disassembly and cleaning of aircraft components according to customer specifications, airworthiness directives, and applicable manufacturers' CMM guidelines.
- Maintain current knowledge of customer and Transport Canada regulations as applicable to the work assigned.
- Ensure familiarity with all shop equipment operations and their maintenance.
- Communication - both verbal and written English language.
- Ability to write descriptive statements concerning the condition of the assemblies being worked on.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to use hand tools and mechanical experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for 8 to 10 hours.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a related field with strong mechanical and/or electrical background.
- Aviation experience is considered an asset, but not required.
