Job Summary

Bison Transport Inc is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy-duty equipment, including trucks and farm equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Equipment: Diagnose faults and malfunctions in heavy-duty equipment, including trucks and farm equipment, and perform repairs as needed.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment, to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Inspect and Test Equipment: Inspect and test equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and meets manufacturer specifications.
  • Adjust and Repair Equipment: Adjust and repair equipment, including replacing defective parts, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Keep Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment repair.
  • Certifications: Driver's License (Class 3 or D), Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T), Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate.
  • Specializations: Diesel engine repair, mechanical maintenance and repair, security and safety.
