Role Summary:
Located in Surrey, this position is primarily focused on transportation management rather than logistics experience. The key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing routing and managing hired transportation services in designated areas.
- Assisting the Transportation Manager with route optimization and execution.
- Ensuring compliance with all Employment and Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Guaranteeing adequate coverage for all shifts within the Dispatch department.
- Participating in the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) for Transportation as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience specifically in the transportation industry (logistics, supply chain, or warehousing experience is not applicable).
- Proficient computer skills and a solid understanding of transportation regulations under the National Safety Code.
- Experience with the Ministry of Transportation is essential.
