Territorial Director of Pharmacy Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacy professional to fill the role of Territorial Director, Pharmacy. This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in shaping the future of pharmacy services in Nunavut.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic and tactical leadership to the pharmacy program across the territory, including policy development, resource allocation, and establishment of standards and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all National and Territorial legislation and standards related to pharmacy practice.
- Provide financial reporting to the Executive Management Committee and the Assistant Deputy Minister to inform decision-making.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships to improve financial management and program delivery.
- Assess the performance of division staff and provide training, development, and progressive disciplinary actions as needed.
- Recognized Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree and a Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada Certificate, with five (5) years of recent related pharmacy management experience in an acute healthcare setting.
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a pharmacist in Nunavut, plus licensure in good standing in one other Province or Territory.
- Master's or PharmD from a recognized university (asset).
- Fluency in more than one of Nunavut's official languages (asset).
- Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, and land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, and Inuktut (asset).
- Experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment (asset).
This indeterminate position offers a competitive salary range of $121,953 to $174,219 per annum, plus a Northern Allowance of $16,008 per annum. Subsidized staff housing is available.
