About the Role

Canada Goose Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Marker Maker to join our team. As a Marker Maker, you will be responsible for creating and distributing markers for our products, working closely with our cutting room team to ensure efficient production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Marker Creation: Create and update Proto sample markers and production markers in the Gerber Accumark system to achieve optimal material utilization.
  • Material Planning: Plan bulk cutting based on production purchase order and style release information to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Plotting and Preparation: Plot and/or prepare electronic files for individual vendors/MPOs according to the timelines on the Marker Production Schedule.
  • Fabric Consumption: Calculate fabric consumption for bulk cutting, costing, and material ordering purposes.
  • Plotter Maintenance: Responsible for the maintenance of plotters, including changing plotter paper and tracking utilization.
  • Other Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Education: College Degree or Diploma in apparel design and manufacturing.
  • Experience: 2-3 years' experience in marker making, with proficiency in Gerber Accumark and other CAD systems.
  • Skills: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work independently, with little supervision, and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
