Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Developer to join our team at Pimarq LLC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile web development, with experience in iOS and Android platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver high-quality mobile applications across the entire app life cycle – concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support.
  2. Design and develop mobile user interfaces that are intuitive and user-friendly.
  3. Collaborate with web developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps/web.
  4. Work alongside front-end developers to build the interface with a focus on usability features.
  5. Create compelling mobile device-specific user interfaces and experiences.
  6. Optimize performance for the apps/web.
  7. Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends in mobile/web technologies.
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  1. Proven development experience in desktop and mobile web development.
  2. Excellent knowledge in information architecture, human-computer interaction, and mobile usability design principles.
  3. A track record of delivering successful consumer products.
  4. iOS:
    1. Strong OO design and programming skills in Objective-C.
    2. Familiar with iOS SDK (UIKit, Cocoa Touch, Core Data, Core Location, etc).
    3. Familiar with Xcode.
  5. Android:
    1. Strong OO design and programming skills.
    2. Familiar with the Android SDK.
    3. Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system.
    4. Familiar with Eclipse.
  6. Common:
    1. Understanding of other compiled languages.
    2. Experience in web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML).
    3. Experience in development using web technologies.
    4. Good understanding of OO programming and design patterns.
    5. Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, and PHP.
    6. Experience building web and native apps.
    7. Experience using social media APIs.
    8. Using version control (e.g. SVN).
  7. Desirable skills:
    1. LAMP development experience.
    2. PHP frameworks.
    3. Creative design skills.
    4. Working with a content management system such as Drupal.

Note: Working with Moodle is an advantage.
