Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC - K03. As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and fault-tolerant software systems using AWS Lambda.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers to tackle some of the hardest problems at global scale. You will be responsible for leading the design and architecture of new and existing systems, as well as mentoring and guiding junior engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable and fault-tolerant software systems using AWS Lambda
  • Lead the design and architecture of new and existing systems
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products
Requirements
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
