Health Economics Specialist, Express Scripts Canada

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacoeconomic Strategist to join our Clinical Services team at Express Scripts Canada, a subsidiary of The Cigna Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in providing pharmacoeconomic expertise to optimize pharmacy benefit management products from both clinical and economic perspectives.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implement Pharmacoeconomic Analyses: Develop and perform pharmacoeconomic analyses, including cost-effectiveness analyses and multi-criteria decision analyses, to inform decision-making and optimize pharmacy benefit management products.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with colleagues to review, evaluate, and prioritize pharmaceutical products for inclusion in formularies and/or benefit management programs.
- Monitor Market Trends and Healthcare Policies: Stay up-to-date on market trends, drug pricing, and healthcare policies to assess potential impact on PBM cost containment strategies.
- Develop and Maintain Pharmacoeconomic Models: Create and maintain pharmacoeconomic models to analyze claims data and generate meaningful insights.
- Lead Value Assessment Committee: Direct the activities of a value assessment committee, leading meetings, gathering information, analyzing data, presenting materials, and creating and maintaining processes.
- Provide Analytical Support: Provide analyses related to pharmaceutical value-based efforts in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in Program Planning and Strategic Planning: Contribute to program planning, strategic planning, and business development activities.
- Advanced Degree in Health Economics or Related Field: Hold an advanced degree in Health Economics, Pharmacoeconomics, or a related field.
- 5+ Years of Experience in Pharmacoeconomics: Possess 5+ years of experience in conducting pharmacoeconomic analyses within the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare consulting, or at a PBM.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical skills with various pharmacoeconomic methodologies, including proficiency in data analytics.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration and Project Management: Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
