Key Responsibilities:- Design, advise, and perform pharmacoeconomic analyses and analytic plans, including cost-effectiveness analyses and multi-criteria decision analyses.
- Participate in the development and achievement of strategic and research objectives as they relate to pharmaceutical spending and associated value-based efforts.
- Perform or critically appraise budget impact analyses on new and marketed pharmaceutical products.
- Develop and maintain pharmacoeconomic models and analyze claims data to generate meaningful insights.
- Direct the activities of a value assessment committee, leading meetings, gathering information, analyzing data, presenting materials, and creating and maintaining processes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to review, evaluate, and prioritize pharmaceutical products for inclusion in formularies and/or benefit management programs.
- Monitor market trends, drug pricing, and healthcare policies to assess potential impact on PBM cost containment strategies.
- Assist in the design and development of tools and mechanisms to document the outcomes and value associated with pharmacoeconomic activities.
- Provide analyses related to pharmaceutical value-based efforts in collaboration with and to cross-functional teams.
- Participate in and attend client meetings as required.
- Participate in program planning, strategic planning, and business development activities.
- May perform other job-related duties as assigned or requested.
- Advanced degree in Health Economics, Pharmacoeconomics, or a related field is required.
- 5+ years of experience in conducting pharmacoeconomic analyses within the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare consulting, or at a PBM is required.
- Experience in pharmacy benefits management, group insurance, or benefits consulting.
- Strong analytical skills with various pharmacoeconomic methodologies, including proficiency in data analytics.
- Familiarity with health technology assessment (HTA) processes and guidelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Resourcefulness skills required; identify challenges that may occur and address potential solutions with your team to prevent or minimize obstacles before they arise.
