About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Saigon Bangkok Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, using manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, ensuring that our kitchen is always well-stocked and organized.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff and customers.
  • Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, to ensure that our dishes are consistently of high quality.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, providing them with on-the-job training and a supportive work environment.
  • Support for Youths: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, helping them to develop their culinary skills and achieve their career goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
