The University of British Columbia is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our research team as an Interviewer. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for recruiting and prescreening potential study participants, conducting structured interviews, and assisting in data collection and data entry.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit and prescreen potential study participants, providing information and answering questions about research studies.
- Enroll eligible participants in research studies, adhering to informed consent procedures and ethical guidelines.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative structured interviews with eligible participants, ensuring policies and procedures for data management are followed.
- Review questionnaires for completeness and accuracy, and ensure all documents are entered and filed as required by ethical guidelines.
- Process participant honoraria, including paying participants and recording honoraria for daily float reconciliation.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- High school graduation, with some additional training in a related field and a minimum two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict management and crisis resolution skills.
- Organized with meticulous attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Exceptional computer skills, including experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and proficiency with data entry.
- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines, and physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Bachelor's degree in health care, social services, or social sciences.
- Two years' experience in frontline services, with experience working with marginalized populations.
- Experience with semi-structured or structured interviewing techniques, and research experience or training.
- Current CPR and naloxone administration training, and exceptional time management and data entry skills.
