Position Overview:

Pryco Global is on the lookout for a driven and meticulous professional to fill the role of a Quantity Surveyor. This position involves supporting our QS initiatives by coordinating efforts and contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates, budgets, and timelines for construction endeavors.
  • Perform feasibility assessments to gauge material, time, and labor expenses.
  • Collaborate with contractors, clients, and project leaders to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Draft and evaluate tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and related paperwork.
  • Execute risk management and value assessment, along with cost control activities.
  • Monitor alterations to design and construction tasks, adjusting budget forecasts as necessary.
  • Measure and assess the work completed on-site.
  • Possess experience in quantity takeoff from drawings and preparing bills of material in Uni format with pricing.
  • Authorize progress and final payments to contractors and suppliers.
  • Advise on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Stay informed about various building contracts currently in use.
  • Compile and present detailed reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Canada as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Proficiency in quantity takeoff from drawings and preparing bills of material in Uni format with pricing.
  • Previous experience in preparing Progress Draw Reports for commercial real estate projects is essential.
  • Skilled in using quantity surveying software and tools (e.g., Plan Swift, Bluebeam, RS means).
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and legal frameworks.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
