About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dishroom Attendant at Shady Tree Neighbourhood Pub. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our dishroom area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload and store clean dishes, flatware, and other items in their designated areas
  • Carry and replace linens, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment
  • Sanitize and clean dishwashers, mats, carts, and waste disposal units
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, maintaining a tidy and organized workspace
  • Load buspans and trays with clean dishes and utensils
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
  • Place clean dishes in storage areas, ensuring they are easily accessible
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, as needed
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • Handle and store cleaning products, following safety protocols
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment
  • Sharpen kitchen knives, ensuring they are in good working condition
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, maintaining a clean and safe workspace
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, as needed
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience an asset, but not necessary
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
  • Physical stamina to work in a standing position for extended periods
